Bay View High School Junior Campus is committed to promoting the emotional, mental and physical health of every child. Our school-wide Emotional Wellness Team comprises of qualified counselors who are available for the well-being of our students. Counseling provides an opportunity for the child to talk in confidence to a qualified counselor about any issues or concerns. Play Therapy is a technique whereby the child’s natural means of expression, namely play, is used as a therapeutic method to assist him / her in coping with emotional stress or trauma. It is used with students aged 3-11 years. This programme has been successfully running at the Junior School since 2015. Our professionally qualified Play Therapist / student counselor is available throughout the week for our students whenever needed.
In keeping with our mission statement, integrated with our strong academic curriculum, we offer a rich co curricular activities programme to develop students’ talents, encourage sports and other empowering experiences. After school activities form one aspect of this programme. They are in-house classes held after school hours to identify and develop the students’ specific talents in different fields. Students may choose an activity of interest to them. These activities are revised every year and typically include sports such as Cricket and Football, Arts and Crafts, Robotics, Taekwondo, Zumba, Skating, Public Speaking, Scrabble, and Science Club.
Our parents are as important to us as our students. We believe that smooth communication between the parents and the school is essential for the holistic upbringing of its students. To support this belief, we invite parents to join the parent support group to represent the parent body of each grade. Our PSG not only has a strong role in voicing parental concerns across the board but also actively participates in school events and in-house activities
We have a specially designed room for everyday health concerns. The school doctor is present throughout the day for any medical emergencies and first aid needs. She also maintains a detailed report on each child and staff members’ general health and routine check-up.
Art is also a special subject for children at the Pre-School. Our art room is well equipped and stocked with plentiful materials and supplies for easy access to children. Like all great studios, it bears the marks of creative use in which the process is valued. Art appreciation is a major element of our curriculum. The children’s pictures and paintings are also displayed.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

This policy is based upon the belief that a child’s development is best promoted through a successful partnership between home and school. Keeping this in mind, our “Open Door Policy” refers to our approach to daily liaison with our parents, teachers and students. We want them to feel at ease that they can communicate with the school management directly.
