About Us
At Bay View High School we encourage our children to experience the joy of learning at an early age. Our Preschool programme is designed to stimulate children’s thinking, communicating, investigating, exploring and problem solving skills. Our teachers create a dynamic interactive learning environment through our programme which includes a rich and varied range of play-based activities that help the children develop their early literacy and numeracy skills. Each child is introduced to a vast knowledge about the world around us through the inquiry based method and through play. In this way we encourage our young learners to analyze, evaluate, interpret and synthesize information. Physical education is also given a high priority and is integrated into the curriculum. Each child works and learns at his/her own pace and according to their own capacity in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Parent involvement is a critical component of Early Childhood Education. A child will achieve the most from his/her educational experience when teachers and parents work together as a team to support the child. At BVHS we run a very successful Parents as Partners programme to encourage them to be active partners in their child’s education experience.
Learning Through Play
Scientific research over the past 30 years has taught us that the most important period of human development is from birth to eight years old. During these years, the development of cognitive skills, emotional well-being, social competence and sound physical and mental health builds a strong foundation for success well into the adult years. Although learning takes place throughout life, in early childhood, learning is taking place at a speed that will never be equalled.
Educators are re-thinking how to teach young children to tap their enormous learning potential. Play isone of the most important ways in which young children gain essential knowledge and skills. For this reason, play opportunities and environments that promote play, exploration and hands-on learning are at the core of effective pre-primary programmes and this is why BVHS follows this approach for our young learners.
We are integrating progressive approaches within our EYFS curriculum, like inquiry-based learning, which, through play and investigation promotes higher order and critical thinking skills within a child, giving them strong educational foundations as well as prepare them for real-life moving forward.

We are very proud that Bay View High School has now completed 25 years of continued success and accomplishments.
Our vision of school leadership is founded on the belief that the teachers and the administration team play an essential role in establishing a positive school environment in which all children learn and grow to their full potential. Our teachers are committed professionals and share a passion for teaching, thereby bringing out the best in our students.
Each year we are delighted to meet the precious, eager little faces at our Pre-school door. We are excited to get to know each and every child and their family, and we are dedicated to supporting them every step of the way as they become independent, successful learners.
Throughout the school year we encourage parents to stay connected with the school. Through the collaborative efforts between the parents and the school faculty, we strive to create a safe, positive, and engaging culture for learning and one in which our students can truly flourish and grow.
We believe that every learner is unique and special. The curriculum emphasizes building various critical thinking and analytical skills through a wide range of active learning activities and events. We constantly strive to impart a set of values in our little ones, which are embedded in our exceptional Early Learning programmes.
